Afterschool Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz offers an afterschool program on the Shoreline Middle School campus (Live Oak area) for teens enrolled at the school.

The Club Teen Center provides a safe fun place for “tweens” to be after school. We provide a variety of activities as well as time to “chill” and hang out with friends.

The Club participates in such National Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs as:

Power Hour: Providing homework assistance and incentives for completing and turning in homework on time.
Smart Girls: A program designed to encourage self-esteem and give girls the tools they need to say no to peer pressure.
Junior Staff: Older Club members receive training and guidance to help them decide on a career path. Upon completion, members are eligible to volunteer at either location as a Jr. Staff Member.
