"I think I like the Ed Room because…mmm…that's a pretty hard question. There's so many things I like about the Ed Room. Well one of the reasons I like the Ed Room is because there are plenty of volunteers to help you with your homework and you get rewards for doing what you're supposed to. You get to go to pizza parties for doing your homework; I mean how cool is that? Another fantastic thing about the Ed Room is that if you have horrible penmanship like myself, then there's always a computer you can use to type it out on. There's always an interesting writing topic or a neat riddle to figure out. The Ed Room is just a cool fun place to do your homework for any age group!

"The Boys & Girls Club is really cool. It has so many things to do. In the Games Room there is pool, bumper pool, ping-pong, and board games. In the gym there's basketball, soccer, football, and a lot more. The pool has so many water toys. The shop is cool too. You can color and there is wood class where you can build things out of wood. The Ed Room is where you can do your homework and play tons of computer games that are really cool, but my favorite thing about the Boys & Girls Club is everything. There's so much to do that it's almost impossible to do it all in one day."

"The Boys & Girls Club means a lot to me. It gives me a place to have fun and make friends. The club has everything from an indoor pool to a woodshop. Some of my most favorite things about the club are the staff members. They are so nice, and polite too everyone. I really recommend the programs they offer. They have basketball, swim team, and even more. This is a great place to make yourself happy."

"The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz means a lot to me. If I didn't have the club to come to, heck, I don't know where I would be right now. I come because I made a commitment to the swim team. I didn't have to choose the swim team, I could've chosen basketball, or wood, etc. I could have chosen anything. I did cheerleading at my school. That made me pretty darn buff but the season was over. Where did I go? I came to the best, the club.

When I come to the club, I check in and I go to the homework lab and I read one of my favorite series, Harry Potter. At 4 o'clock I leave the homework lab and play some games or draw. I also need potassium for swimming. Then at 4:15 I swim. At 5:30 I go home and do whatever I do. That's my point of view when I see the club and I hope I've encouraged you to come join and play too."

"The thing the Boys & Girls Club means to me is a place where I can go when I need someone to talk to. I like the Boys & Girls Club because I do believe it is a positive place for kids. I like the club because I love to swim and they have a pool. However, I like the basketball program too because I love to play. Ever since I started coming, it has changed my life because the staff here at the club is like family! So if I can't talk to someone at home, I know I can talk to someone here. If I have problems at school, they're always here when I need them. Also, I have more friends and people that I can communicate with."

"The club is a great place to be. It's fun because the staff is nice and there's sports you can play in the gym, and even in the indoor swimming pool. In the swimming pool there's free swim, swim team, and even swim lessons. I like it because there's a café, a shop (where you can color, do crafts and work with wood), and the Games Room with all kinds of games. There's also the Ed Room where you can earn a lot of points. That's what the club means to me!"
